Evolution Signature Massage
This session involves my specialized blend of massage techniques influenced with Swedish or Deep Tissue, Tui Na and Gua Sha, and energy work. I like to say that this "scratches a different itch" than traditional massage alone. Each session is uniquely designed for each client's needs and where they are at in their healing journey. This is a great "reset" physically and energetically, or can be a lovely part of your regular self-care regimen. Each session helps with body awareness, facilitates energetic flow, and can help free up sticky spots in your body, mind and soul.
Intuitive Life Coaching
As an intuitive life coach and Reiki master I help individuals awaken to their truest self, regain presence and live the life they were born to live. My primary mission is to empower and uplift you wherever you may be in your journey. Many people get bogged down by negative thinking, ego or what other people dictate. This makes it very hard to decipher what your path is and I help you turn down the static and zero in on your truth and develop a cleaner relationship with your intution or mind-body connection.
If you are overwhelmed, stressed out and unhappy you are probably finding it hard to connect with that light inside you and truly be present in your life and relationships. Through intuive healing, coaching and a splash of fun I will walk with you towards personal growth, soul empowerment and purpose. You deserve to awaken to and live your best life! You are meant to connect with your life purpose and make a positive impact on the world! You were meant to shine!
This service may include a combination of any/all of the following: Reiki, intuitive coaching, tapping, energy/chakra balancing, guided meditation, light touch, no touch, gentle movement of limbs, gentle stretching, acupressure, etc. The session is uniquely tailored to each and every client’s needs. Please note that 30mins of your first session will be for your intake and for any questions you may have before/after the session, and about 60mins will be on table receiving energy work, coaching or intuitive guidance. Many clients leave the session feeling extremely relaxed, enlivened or a deep sense of relief.
Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a "life force" or "chi/qi", and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow. Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing.
This service is not meant to diagnose or treat mental illness or disorders and does not replace the care of a licensed mental health practitioner. If you need additonal support I will be happy to refer you to someone in my trusted nework of practitioners.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Cupping Massage Session
Cupping is the application of glass, plastic or silicone cups to the skin for a therapeutic effect--I use the silicone ones in my practice. Traditional cupping has been around for over 5000 years. The modern version implemented in my practice is interwoven with massage and used to help alleviate muscle pain, trigger points, fascial and myofascial adhesions, to move lymph, reduce joint pain and to help increase circulation to certain areas. This is a fantastic compliment to a regular massage routine, for easing those stubborn or chronically tight areas of the body and in some cases beneficial for freeing up old surgery sites/scarring. Many clients experience incredible results during or immediately after a session. Cupping works with negative pressure to bring synthetic and metabolic wastes/toxins up to the subcutaneous layers of the body so it can be processed and released through the circulatory or lymphatic systems. For this reason it is very common to see "marks" left behind after a cupping session. Although these marks look like bruises they are not and do not hurt because they are not caused by blunt trauma as is the case when bruising occurs in the body. Most clients forget they are even there and these marks should dissipate within about a few hours to a week.
If you have any concerns or questions about whether cupping is right for you, or if you are diabetic or pregnant, please consult your physician before starting cupping. Cupping is not recommended if you are taking blood thinners, are prone to clotting or bruise easily.
Pre- or Post-natal Massage
Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women or women who have had a baby within the last 6 months. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, prenatal massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.
Post-natal massage can help support the emotional and physical recovery of labor and child birth, and the rigors of caring for a new life.
Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.
Head and Neck Massage
A great way to melt away the stresses of every day life. This massage focuses primarily on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and can also include acupressure points in and around the face. Wonderful for those who experience headaches or sinus pressure regularly, or those who carry their stress in the shoulders. This massage is not only deeply relaxing but can also increase circulation, ease tension, increases range of motion in the muscles of the neck, and also helps with more natural, even breathing.
Gua sha add-on
Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light blushing or marking. Practitioners believe that, similar to cupping, Gua Sha releases unhealthy bodily matter or toxins from blood stasis within sore, tired, stiff or injured muscle areas to stimulate new oxygenated blood flow to the areas, thus promoting metabolic cell repair, regeneration, healing and recovery. Gua Sha is sometimes referred to as "scraping", "spooning" or "coining".
In my practice I use a smooth-edged stone tool with/without oil as needed. Many who have received this treatment fall in love with the unique and soothing sensation it produces and the enhancement it adds to their massage benefits.
Disclaimer: while not typical in how I practice, please be aware that light bruising, “blushing” or marking can occur with this treatment. Most blushing subsides within a few minutes to hours after your session. If you are prone to bruising, have certain health conditions, or taking blood thinners we may not be able to do Gua Sha. If there is a concern or question on whether Gua Sha is right for you, please consult your primary care physician.
